Solar Cooking Advice and etc...
The most important skill I learned while building the solar cooker and using it to make something would probably knowing exactly where and how to position the materials in your cooked. It's difficult because one wrong adjustment can lower the temperature drastically.if you're planning on making a cooker in then near future, I would suggest you take your time. Also do your research to make sure you're building it right. Next time I would probably make a parabolic cooker. The box cooker my group and I made didn't turn out so well. We tried to make cookies but it didn't work. I guess it's because it didn't get hot enough. If I had to do something differently, I would not put as much tinfoil on. The reason is because I think we out it on in the wrong places and the sunligjt reflected off of it. My cooker didn't even get up to more than 110°F.

How Will This Solar Cooker Work?
I worked with a group to build a solar cooker. We built the box solar cooker. We chose the box cooker because it was the simplest to build. It is a cardboard box with mirrors on the sides and on the flaps. How will this cooker work? Well we are aiming the opening of the box towards the sun and we are leaving the flaps of the box open. So more sunlight can get inside. What's going to happen is that the heat from the sun is going to go straight towards the opening of the cooker and before to hits the bottom of the box, the heat is going to shine and bounce off of the mirror on the flap then it's going to bounce to side on the opposite side then hit the actual food then after that it's going to go to the other side of the box then the flap with the mirror. All of these sides and flaps have mirrors so it can reflect the light everywhere. Because the mirrors are reflecting that light everywhere, the food in there will absorb the heat. It might be helpful to make the bottom of the box black in order to attract more heat.
